Oppo A78 4G Specifications Leaked Ahead of India Launch

Oppo is gearing up to launch the Oppo A78 4G in India. The company’s A series has been a fairly successful democratizer of some of its proprietary technologies such as fast charging and high resolution imagery.

Oppo had launched the A78 5G earlier in January. The Oppo A78 4G too promises to up the ante with features like 67W fast charging, 50MP AI camera and more, which got leaked after the smartphone’s marketing materials surfaced online.

The Oppo A78 will soon be available in both 4G and 5G variants, with more or less the same specifications, including the same processor. Here’s everything we know so far –

Oppo A78 4G: Leaked Specifications and Features

The Oppo A78 smartphone will launch in both 4G and 5G variants. The smartphone features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The display has a punch-hole cutout for an 8MP selfie camera.

The smartphone features a 50MP primary camera with features such as Dual View video and bokeh flare portrait, along with a 2MP bokeh lens.

Under the hood is the Snapdragon 680 SoC, that is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is further expandable via a microSD card. Incidentally, the 5G variant too is powered by the same chipset, but with a 5G modem.

The Oppo A78 4G is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. The smartphone runs on Oppo’s ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13. The smartphone will be offered in Misty Black and Aqua Green colors.

Additionally, the Oppo A78 4G will come with an NFC sensor, and dual stereo speakers. The design of the phone, which the company calls Oppo Glow, has a wavy texture with two large camera modules.

Pricing and availability of the smartphone will be detailed closer to the launch. The launch date of the smartphone is not confirmed yet.
