Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip5 has been leaking like crazy lately, ahead of its official unveiling, which is planned for the last week of July at a special event in Korea.
Today we get an essential piece of the puzzle: the price. This information comes from Greece, and if the number pans out, it represents a significant jump compared to what the Flip4 launched at last year. The new model is allegedly going to be priced at €1,299 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

For comparison’s sake, let us remember that the Galaxy Z Flip4’s 8/128GB version launched at €1,099 in the Eurozone, so this is an almost 20% price hike we’re talking about here. Of course, prices may vary ever so slightly across the Eurozone due to differing VAT levels, but don’t expect these variations to amount to more than €30-40.
So either way, the Flip5 will be more expensive than its predecessor, if this information is correct. The hike may be accepted more readily by consumers given the fact that the upcoming model will sport a huge outer screen which makes the Flip4’s look like a joke in comparison. There will also finally be no hinge gap, something competitors have figured out before Samsung, hilariously enough.
Anyway, do take all this with a pinch of salt, as it’s a mere unconfirmed rumor for now. Surely there will be more price-related leaks coming in the next few weeks, and we’ll see if they corroborate this price point or not.
