Kohaku launches the infiltration operation in episode 2 of Dr. Stone New World Cour 2, titled “The Medusa’s True Face.”
In order to get into the Inner Palace and take the petrification device, Ginro uses some suffocating pineapple potion to knock Ibara out. After getting into the Palace, he snoops and peeks at the Master’s face.
He’s shocked that the Master is a petrified statue resembling Soyuz. Ibara wakes up before he safely escapes, and Ginro tries to flee to Kohaku.

2. Episode 3 Speculation
Ginro and Kohaku both now know the secret of the village as well as the petrification device. Senku is currently working on the drone with the rest of the villagers but will likely soon find out about Kohaku’s petrification.
Once he finds out, he has two possible options. They will either stay on course with the plan and try to target the petrification device with the drone or save Kohaku instead. The more logical way would be to keep on schedule, which is what Senku will choose.
3. Recap of Episode 2
Before they revive Kaseki, they spot a poop-shaped stone missing from his back. Taiju uses his ridiculous endurance to retrieve the statues piece by piece. They find the missing stone and fit it in perfectly before pouring the nitric acid.
Senku shows him the blueprints for the next invention, and Kaseki gets all pumped up. The first step to getting the drone is the invention of ball bearings, which are used everywhere in future automobiles. By the time night arrives, Taiju brings back every statue on the ground, and they rearrange all of it.
On his first try, Kaseki grasps all the concepts, and the drone prototype shakily flies into the air. Meanwhile, Kohaku gets approached by one of the village’s strongest, Moz. He asks her where her friends are hiding, but she says nothing.
Moz steps down, and Kohaku reveals a dagger hidden in her clothes. The security force starts charging at her, but she weaves through them effortlessly. Moz jumps in and says that none of them are allowed to kill her since the Inner Palace is his entertainment.
Kohaku challenges him to a duel, and they begin clashing blades. Ginro knocks Ibara out with the pineapple potion and then peeks under the curtain to see the Master of the village. He’s shocked to find an exact lookalike of Soyuz, petrified.
Ibara wakes up and chases him, but Ginro escapes outside the Palace. He calls for Kohaku to save him, but Ibara stabs him from behind, hitting multiple organs. Before he dies, he tells Kohaku about the secret of the Master and says his goodbyes.
Kohaku jumps to the top of the Palace and starts shouting out the village’s secret. In order to stop her, Kirisame throws the petrification device and traps Ginro and Kohaku in stone. Before she completely transforms, Kohaku realizes the secret of Medusa is science, after all.
