The Rift in Time saga is far from over as the imaginative Act 2 approaches. The following phase prompts the arrival of new but familiar faces and another free base game update. Here’s when to expect the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update and what will be included.
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s next update release date
The next Disney Dreamlight Valley update arrives on May 1, 2024. On this day, the free base game update Thrills & Frills and Rift in Time’s The Spark of Imagination Act 2 will both make their debut. They’ll likely launch around 6 a.m. PT/ 8 a.m. CT/ 9 a.m. ET, as this is the standard time for Disney Dreamlight Valley launches.

According to the Developer Update, more parks will be introduced in the Day at Disney Star Path. This also includes past bundles for those who missed out on their chances beforehand. While on these rides, you’ll have the option to try the new selfie feature to capture the thrilling experience.
Additional multiplayer content will launch alongside the Star Path, where players can fish, take selfies, and water plants together. But, of course, it wouldn’t be a DDV update without a new character, as Daisy Duck makes her arrival to the Valley. Like Scrooge McDuck, she’ll have her own shop with a chic boutique, showing off all your Touch of Magic designs. Each outfit can be used for weekly challenges to earn exclusive clothing and more rewards.
As for the Rift in Time, players will venture deeper into Eternity Isle, continuing the saga from Act 1. Things were relatively left off with a cliffhanger, as Jafar causes more mischief through the mysterious time powers.
You must purchase the expansion pass to access a Rift in Time’s Act 1 and upcoming Act 2 (Act 3 for Summer release). The pack can be bought separately or as a bundle with the Gold Edition. However, if you only seek out the base game features, you can still take advantage of the free Thrills & Frills update.

Gaston, Rapunzel, and EVE are the first among the group to help with Eternity Isle’s many problems (well, Gaston helps in his own way). In Disney Dreamlight Valley’s next update, a new character will join the team with the debut of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Oswald plays a vital role through new missions and character-related quests, featuring several homages to the silent film era.
