Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham finally broke silence on her husband’s highly publicised affair in the latest Netflix documentary Beckham. She was heard calling the time her “hardest-period”. Meanwhile, Victoria’s husband David said the phase wasn’t like losing each other but drowning.

Netflix released a four part docu series revealing the inside story of David Beckham’s football career and marriage to former Spice girl.
The documentary includes interviews of Beckham’s parents and former Manchester United Manager Alex Ferguson.
David and Victoria are married for nearly 24 years.
Victoria on David’s alleged affair: World was against us
The couple, who had been denying claims of David having an affair while playing for Real Madrid in 2003, finally opened up about the allegation in recent docuseries. In the documentary, the former Spice Girl can be heard saying, “It was the hardest period for us because it felt like the world was against us. She added, “Here’s the thing – we were against each other if I’m completely honest.”
Victoria further said: “You know, up until Madrid, sometimes it felt like us against everybody else. But we were together, we were connected, we had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel like we had each other either. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me.”
David too reacts to his highly publicised affair
In the docuseries, the ex-England and Manchester United midfielder is also seen addressing the speculation around his extra-marital affair and revealed how it affected his family. “There was some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with,” he said. “It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage. I think we both felt at the time that we were, not losing each other, but drowning. I don’t know how we got through it, in all honesty,” he said. The couple has been married since 1999 and are parents to three children.
